'92 5.0. Turn the ignition on and the fuel pump runs and doesn't stop after a few seconds as it used to, and car won't start(as it used to). Fuel gauge shows 1/4 tank.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump relay that is under the drivers seat. My next guess would be the ignition switch.

Fuel pump on 5.0, Why won't it stop running? Reply to Thread

GhostDog,

Thanks for the reply.
I bought a fuel pump relay but can't find the one on my car. I have read that in '92 they moved them to the firewall, passenger side. Another forum member said below the ma flow sensor(air intake??). I found two relays side by side there but they are not like the part I bought.
About where under the driver seat should it be? My seats are electric and it's very hard to see or feel anything under there. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

On 91+ it's by the a/c cut off relay that is by the shock tower on the passenger side. That would below the mass air flow sensor area.
