So get this....I got my Stingers in from Late Model Restoration (gr8 price thanks!) and proceeded removing my mufflers this morning when I got home from work. As I'm removing the mounting brackets, I notice the driver side rear bracket only has 1 bolt in it, which would explain why the exhaust tip wasn't quite centered after the bumper repair last year. What should have been a threaded insert in that part of the undercarriage was not threaded at all, and was filled in with the white factory goo they use to seal stuff.:headscratch: I think the bumper replacement last year jarred the bracket enough that the goo gave way and led to the small misalignment. Anywho, to shorten the story, I had to go get a self-tapping bolt to replace the missing one. Of course working 12 hour nightshifts didn't allow me the time to actually get the stingers installed, so I wired up the exhaust with some wire from a stipped coax cable and headed off to work. Man w/o mufflers, this car sounds MEAN....kinda like those ******* Chevy trucks back in NE Texas:happyhapp. I'll give a Stinger report tomorrow night, assuming I get 'em put on in the morning. Now for that driveshaft.....

Haha! I know what you mean, I turned my car on without the axlebacks when I was swapping them out and it sounds loud, but its kind of obnoxious, like a farm tractor...from the 60s
