Funny Noise from clutch

What do you guys think?

When I am driving my car and I go to shift gears (normally 1st – 3rd) I hear a weird rattling noise coming form the clutch area. I can release the clutch and it will stop but if I lightly press it again, the noise starts up. And to further complicate things….When I am just cruising along in 5th gear (normally around 50 – 60 ,mph) the car will start to make this rattling noise again. So I lightly touch the clutch and it goes away…….

I have no clue what to tell ford…I have only 4,000 miles left until my warranty is up

Thanks for you help guys

Sounds like maybe a throwout bearing issue. Get that thing in for repair before the warranty is up. At the very least make sure the issue is documented and they said there was nothing wrong so when it finally does fail, maybe you can get some compensation for it since it started before the warranty expired.
Humm....I was wondering about that, But i have to admit i am not as repair sabby as i would like to be.....So the throwout bearing would cause both of these problems?
yeah thats definately your throwout bearing, i already had issues with mine twice. Stupid chatter then press the clutch in a bit and it goes away then let off comes back..Make sure that you get a FORD CLUTCH KIT W/ THROWOUT BEARING...i was dumb and my aunt (family owned garage) ordered me a Sacs kit...ughhhh replaced the clutch, started it, and it came RIGHT BACK. Get that thing to the dealer before your warranty is out!
OK thanks guys.....I called ford up today and made an Apt. to get it checked out :worship
kickass, good move.
