Before we know it, the 2015 models will be here. High on most people's list is to see a good, reliable IRS to replace the existing live axle. But what other niceties that some of the family and luxury cars have? My dealer warned me about slamming the deck lid because it could affect the rear camera. Maybe the remote should fully open and close the trunk lid like the Edge does? And what about the new foot sensor for the lift gates? Would you like to see that? I like the idea of having the ability to buy an adapter to allow the use of tablets like the new iPad mini instead of the navigation system. There should be no reason for Ford not to embrace something like that. Even to where you could buy the tablet with the car.

I'd like to see an all-glass dash, in the sense of one LCD panel that would host all instrument displays, in a highly user-configurable format.

This would live in the space where the current speedo/tach are found today. Could be a lot of fun to not just change instrument colors, but choose what is displayed, and where. Some basics would always be there, like speed & rpm, but the rest could be configured how you like.

I could see a future in which tuners would offer customized display themes.

less textured plastic and more wrapped (alcantera, faux leather, CF, stitched cloth) on the interior. how about a sunroof! and some paddle shifters!... thats about all that comes to my mind, everything else is great and the 2013 updated was much needed to add all the new technology!

Honestly, there isn't much from the high-end cars I work on everyday that we don't already have or need in my opinion in our Mustangs. We already have a great voice control system, our touch-screen NAVI is a generation ahead of Mercedes of all things, we now have Recaro seat options and standard HID's.

Perhaps little things, like soft touch materials and and overall ergonomics.

+1 I like this idea. I've experienced this just a bit and think there is a real future for this. One issue that would need a lot of attention is making sure it doesn't dazzle eyesight at night, dazzle being an actual technical term where the image of the dash persists in your vision when you look back to the road

god no on a sunroof. I thought those wentout in the 90s. I see the attraction, but IMHO, the little sunroof on camaros looks cheap.

I wonder about the mechnics behind a fully opening roof. Its sounds useful if it had little to no footprint, but if it requires some extra box motor or something like that, maybe I'd pass.

I owuldn't mind if they did the center console more like the edge center console. THe glossy black with touch response.

Keyless go please. (Is this on the 13's?)

For me personally, I would love to see a second USB port. I hate having to decide between listening to my music player or charging my phone.

I wouldn't mind a minor retooling of the way the nav package operates the music device menu, but that may just be a deal wth the music device itself?

Blind spot warning system? seems like it could be just a matter of extending the rear view sensor right?

On a comletely seperate note, the Boss track key idea is badass, but do you think its cooler as a dedicated key, or would you prefer to see it as a console button? Like "RaceMode" or something.

Paddle shifted, semi automatic dual clutch gearbox
Independent Rear Suspension
Fuel tank larger than 16 gallons

I like the idea of the LCD dash that was mentioned, but based on the ones I've seen Ford would have to do some very careful design work with their dash to make it work. LCDs are almost impossible to see in bright sunlight, so Ford would have to make sure it stays shaded regardless of the angle and direction of the sun.

Second USB port? Yes. And then a third, and a fourth.

Heated outside mirrors.

Two-person memory function for the driver's seat.

More storage cubbies in the cabin.

User-selectable horn tone (18-wheeler, ah-OOH-gah, Dukes Of Hazzard, etc).

Okay, just kidding about that last one ...

Not to over think this but I think Ford keeps those cup holders in a crap location for a reason.I really believe they try to keep it simple and pure. True driving machines have a history of having no cup holders or cup holders in intentionally poor or under thought locations. Cup holders used to be synonymous with grocery getters and minivans.

Ok...I've over thought this... Need nap

Agreed. Keep your luxury, I want my sports car. Smaller, lighter, faster. Don't need a nav system, I'm not retarded. Don't need heated seats, it's 100 degrees out here. etc.

They can't keep making 1967-1970 clones forever. I love the classic styling, but even it's feeling a bit old after seeing the same basic body style for 8 years now. Ironically, the current body style has already lasted twice as long as the cars they draw their inspiration from.
