I have my tank dropped cause I was to replace the fuel sending unit. the gas gauge aint working. Well, come to find it might be a slosh sensor behind the dash, so Im waiting on this project so I can find the sensor and replace that.

While the tank is down, should I also consider a upgrade fuel pump? the car is stock, but probably wont be in the more distant future. The last mods (after suspension and rear end) will be the motor.

If I do that I will get a fuel pressure guage I guess.

Is fuel/air ratio a good gauge ? Good because why, with what mods?

I might have to get a regular fuel gauge in a pod (Im thinking pillar pod) if the fuel gauge project doesnt fix.

So Im thinking three pods at the most since Im considering all this.

What do you think? thanks for taking the time to read.

:headscratch:

you can buy a holley 155lph for 80 bucks at summit right now. I bought one when I did mine a month ago. You only need to buy a new regulator and bigger injectors when you need more fuel. Otherwise you can still put a bigger pump in and not have to worry about adjusting anything because your stock regulator is dialed in for stock motor and is non adjustable so even though you are pumping more fuel, it sends whatever it doesnt need back to the gas tank, so you wont notice anything different, loss of mpg or anything. It will be there for future mods. Thats why I did it. I didnt need it but it costs as much as a stock pump and I might later. The slosh modules you can get from the dealer for like $90 I believe but they call them something different. I did a whole thread post because I had the same problems.

If you have future plans for a better pump in the future, it won't hurt to get it now while the tank is down.

Gauge

Does your fuel gauge rise and fall randomly while you are driving? I had to change my fuel pump a while back and ever since the fuel gauge has stopped working and the temperature guage always reads off the charts now.

I don't know what I did when I dropped the fuel tank but it seems to have screwed those gauges up.

I thought about getting some inexpensive guages for an A pillar pod for temp and fuel. Didn't think about adding a third.. maybe vacuum?
