Hello guys I have a 1999 mustang GT and about two months ago my gauges all quite and radio and everything pretty much all my electronics except my headlights and interior lights. The car kept on running and i tried shutting it off and starting it again didnt work so when i got home i realized my battery had blew so I was thinking its my altenator as it has had the battery light on for the past 6 years and i was just told it was a faulty sensor so i didnt bother with it but now i want to move it out of the way but it wont fire at all and the gauges dont even budge or anything I am wondering what could be the problem? Any advice is apreciated thank you in advance

do the head lights work?

what is the battery voltage?

Are the battery terminals clean and tight?

What about the ignition switch? Has there been a recent break in attempt?
