I don't know, buy my '07 GT had 3.73 gears that were an option for whoever bought it new. It was a big difference over GTs with stock gears.
gear ratios 3.31 vs. 3.55
am i correct when i say the 07 gt/cs or gt came in 2 gear packages, the first is 3.31 and the other is 3.55?
How can i find out which gear my 07 gt/cs has? Do i need to contact ford where it was built or does it say this on the car somewhere?

The sticker on my '07 GT showed a 3.55 ratio limited slip axle option for $100.00. I've since then had the 3.73 gear set installed.
Check the metal label on the driver's door. It has a code for rear axle. CD is 3.55 and CG is 3.31.

There should also be a sticker on the rear diff. Sometimes all you have to do is look at it.
Thank you everyone. I will look at the door tag first and check the cd vs cg. I didn't realize 3.73 was an option from the factory. They must beef it up alot!

Cool. i will try this but i did look at the door jam sticker and i do have 3.55 gears according to the"cd" classification but if this shows everything else my car may or may not have as an option or factory i would liike to see that also.Enter your VIN number to get you car's original window sticker. no such option. Either someone lied to you or you don't know what gear your car has. Its either a 3.31 or an optional 3.55 if you have a manual trans. Otherwise its a 3.31..

nope. all 07's (auto or manual) came with 3.31 and the manual had a 3.55 as an option.. In 05 and 06 3.55's were standard with manual trans.

As someone said above i looked at the door jam and the code of "cd" was on there in plain print. They said that cd is 3.55 and cg is 3.31. I assume this is correct?that is the easiest and fastest way to tell. :bigthumbsup
I also just punched in my vin on the gt/cs website above and it was a paid for option for 100.00 on the original window sticker.

topbliss do you know where to get such info as : what # in production my car was in 07' out of how many were made. i started a thread but no response yet. i found the final production date again on my door tag of 04/24/07 but i am trying to get a dash plaque made for the car and need that info.you are correct...
