Dear Franksgt,

I had 3.73s installed in my automatic because I eventually (in 2006) will have a Saleen installed...

From the stock 3.31 gears of the automatic, the 3.73s grab better and shift the power range of the motor up about 200 RPMs...

Better acceleration, but nothing that will "snap your neck"... I'm hoping that the supercharger will do that...

If you are running a 5 speed, then a 3.90 or 4.10 will be a better choice...

1 put 4.10 in my automatic and the gears whined bad so i took them out .ran great but 2400 rpm at 60 was more than i wanted.dont buy richmond gears, get ford gears.put 3.73 ford gears in,no whine,2100 rpm at 60 and runs great.FORD GEARS,they dont seem to have as much whine problems as others .
I know the transmissions have a little differnt ratios, but being that the auto is a 5-speed and the regualr manual both have as many gear... why the difference in ratios recomended?

I don't know if I will do the 4.10's in mine, I have to Drive I75 to ohio and some of that is at 80mph.

Anyone got the calculation handy to how many rpm that would be with stock 17" rims and tires?

WHINE COMES FROM A BAD INSTALL, OR YOU JUST GOT SOME FAULTY GEARS.
