Glad to be here and I have a 68 coupe. I just dropped an 88 302 EFI with AOD trans in it and I'm just now finishing up all the little loose ends. I'd be happy to share any info I have on this type of conversion.

Probably the best Mustang site on the web.
Get advice in a Tech' Section or just chew the fat in the Lounge. ENJOY!

EFI Conversion

Thanks for the great welcome, The swap isn't that bad. I've been recording it on video and making a bible on the swap for all the little detail things no one seems to have online. I converted an 88 5.0 H.O. to fit the needs of the 68 coupe and replaced the C4 to an AOD. I'm hoping to get close to 30mpg when done. I'm using the stock wiring harness out of the 88 and the only things I had to buy so far is a trans mount, fuel pump w/lines, couple gaskets, and a gas pedal. I will have just under $2k in the conversion. Not bad considering they sell an EFI kit for $4k that doesn't include a motor or transmision. The $2K got me a low mileage 5.0 and AOD plus all the conversion parts.
