Picked up the Roush round ball shift knob for the S197's from Americanmuscle.com.

Any tips/tricks to get the knob straight and tight? Tried screwing it on a couple of times can't get it quite straight.

Looks like they include a nut and a little set screw, are those needed?

Thanks.

trial and error is the best thing i can say.. my buddy had the same problem.. he just unscrewed it, basically put it on not straight, and it ended up straight.. if that made any sense at all.. just keep playing with it.

Yeah, I just used the jam nut until I got it right and just went hand tight with it....very easy to install.

If you use the jam nut looks like it will be exposed? The plastic sleeve that holds the boot would have to be under the jam nut right?
