Getting Supercharged on Tuesday at Brenspeed

Well, after alot of thought and saving, I am finally going to supercharge my 07 GT. I talked to the guys at Brenspeed and I am heading out there on Tuesday. These guys have been awesome to work with so far.
Going with the Vortec V3 system, Brenspeed Tune which they are telling me puts 400 hp to the rear wheels. I am also swapping my 3.55 gears for 4.10's. In my 5 speed manual, I should really feel the extra torque with gears alone, not to mention with the Vortec.
I am having Brenspeed Dyno the car before and after so I will share with you all the results.
Can't say enough good things about these guys at Brenspeed. Awesome customer service and are paying my gas to come out there, putting me up in the guest house as well as giving me the supercharger, installation, new gears, dyno and etc. for alot less than I was going to pay in town.
I will share my experience and my dyno sheet with you guys next week. COME ON TUESDAY!:happyhapp

Awesome. I'm excited for you. That's the only thing i have left to do to mine now. Time to start saving!
Congrats dude! :bigthumbsup I can't wait until I can finally make it up to Brenspeed.
Awesome Brent!!

I ordered my Vortech V3 from BrenSpeed and it is AWESOME!! My brother and I did the install, the way they wrote the instructions and the way Vortech wrote their instructions, it was a piece of cake...!

Trust me though, you're going to love it especially with the 3.73s on the back!
Congrats on the new mod. Watch that drive back home.:happyhapp
Sounds great. If it were me, I would not change the gears at the same time. Thats something that could easily be done late. That way, you could feel the diffence with the supercharger only. Then later, if you still want, do the gears. Then you'd feel that mod only. My 2 cents
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I am excited about this. I took a long time mulling these upgrades over and over. I definately wanted to go with something very reliable and all that I have read and hear about with the vortec made me feel this was right for me. The gears (4.10's) are all about torque and feeling that "throw you back in the seat" that you just cant get any more in performance cars. I owned a 72 Chevelle Super Sport with a 454 and that was the last time I felt that "thud" in the chest from torque and horse power.
The guys at Brenspeed are awesome. If any of you guys want to deal with some very knowledgeble people that truly get what customer service is, the Brendspeed it the place for you all. I have called, emailed and etc. time and time again and these guys were nothing less than patient and very helpful.
I will give you guys an update when I get back Wednesday. I am hoping for a little over 400 RWHP with my the supercharger and my current mods (CAI, SCT 93 Octane Tune, Exhaust).
COME ON TUESDAY! COME ON 400 RWHP!:nogrinner

Hey KyleJB 2663,

Curious to what your experience was with this supercharger. Was it a real kick in the pants? Did you have it Dyno'd? If so, what RWHP were you getting? Just curious. I wish I could have done this myself but I dont have the time, the tools or the apptitude!
Let me know your results.

Thanks,

Brent
If you do the gear install at the same time. Just make sure on your way back form the install you dont get on them rite away. Allow a Break-In period for them. Let them heat up and cool down alot of times.

I put atleast 500miles on mine before doing any type of serious driving with them. Only reason i did the break-in for the gears is b/c ive heard of people getting whinning noises when they didnt break them in. You dont want that.

But Goodluckl on your Blower setup. did you go with the V3 HO or the non-intercooled.
Thanks for the heads up on the gear break in. Its gonna be hard not to jump on it and test it.
I went with the V3. Its seemed safer and will give me the kick in the pants I am looking for. I was also very impressed that the system can be upgraded down the road. So with some time and some more money, I can build up the hp.
Kool but now that you are going FI with 400rwhp you might want to think about staying with the 3.55's
Had Brenspeed install Saleen Stage II kit in May - no regrets, drove all the way from Texas to have it done - 19 hours. These guys know their business and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to take their car to the next level.

If it were me and i was going F/I. i would throw a Intercooler system with it. Just my 2-cents.
I got my Saleen installed there in late March. They were awesome. I drove 14 hours there instead of 1 hour to JDM. JDM wanted $1000 more for the same thing minus the wideband and boost gauges plus pillar. Not knocking JDM in any way except price. Most people in Jersey who have a Saleen have had them put it in by JDM and at the track they are fast.If only Brenspeed could try to fix my water leak Id be good to go.

thats what i was thinking.... instead your going with 4.10's with the FI... :headscratch:
Couple reasons I chose to go with 4.10's. One is that I run 20" wheels. The second is that the V3's "sweet spot" is at higher RPM's, unlike the KB & other root systems that are well know for their low RPM torque. The gears will get me in that "sweet spot" much faster. If I were installing a root system and running smaller rims I would go so stepp with the gears.
Dont you get into boost at anytime you get on that car? you dont need to wait for it to spool up like a turbo does... I thought all Supercharges are like that.:headscratch:

Like I said earlier, if I were going FI with a roots system like Whipple or KB I would retain the 3.55's. But with a Vortec or Paxton, I need the higher RPM's.
There are a number of guys with Vortec and Paxton's all of which went with a steeper gear. Its seem to work out just right.

I will share the dyno sheet with you guys when I get back on Wednesday.

There is a little spool up on these and they are know to not be as strong in the lower RPM's like the Whipple or KB. The gears make up for this. All said we are anticipating 400hp+ to the rear wheels with relatively low boost so we are pretty safe with stock internals.
A couple guys on here have gotten 415 to 430 RWHP with this same set up. Those are corvette eating numbers and exactly what I am looking for! LOL
