Road trips rule! On Sunday I took a little trip about an hour away. It was nice and sunny, on the way back I got the G-tec out and had some fun!
Yes. Very cool.

uhh the trip started at 6...ended around 10...somewhere along the way i took the picture:rolleyes:
I used to do poker runs in Southeast Oklahoma and there were stretches of back roads for 50 miles and no one around. I would turn up the boost on the turbo Dodge and run flat out. My navigator would be sleeping in the passenger seat at 110 mph and all four windows rolled down. I don't know how she slept because it was a hurricane inside that little Omni.

Alright! This car is perfect for roadtrips. I drove mine state to state following the Stones Bigger Bang tour. Plan on driving her from Virginia to California in March...nothing like it!

damn nick i wish i could go too...virginia to cali...now thats a trip you'll remember...be careful of the weather...cali might be a slice of heaven in march but you'll be ridin through a few hellraisers in the east to get there.
No kidding!!

I need to win the lottery and just cruise around the country in Jessica for a few years. Like those guys in Route 66.
Damn, I'm old.

I'd like to do the Interstate 50 cross country from Sacramento to Maryland. That would be THE "Road Trip". When you're out here in CA - look us up.
Road trip across country, just find a local forum member to put you up for a night along the way!

When I was selling cars, in Post Falls, Idaho, I mentioned Ocean City and a guy piped up that it was 2680 miles [or something] from Sacramento California.

I looked at him. He had never been to Ocean City but was from Sacramento. He saw the sign, from the other side of the country :) His must have said "Ocean City, Maryland 2680 miles" I never realized there was one on the other end :)

BTW, Rt 50 was about 12 miles from my house and was how I preferred to get to Annapolis since the 50 bridge was a span and not a drawbridge so you never got stuck waiting for the boats.

I encourage you to take the trip. I never have but I would love to hear about it, as you go across. Take a laptop and narrate, at the end of the day. :D

Oog, yeah, the upper left hand corner of the map lives in the dark, in winter. But there is more daylight every day now [my GF was born on the winter solstice so I can remember, that from her birthday on, I get happier :)]!
Im there !!

I'm in Sacramento and yes the sign is there right where Hwy 50 begins and I-80 splits off to Reno. Already did 2 road trips to San Diego, lots of ponies down there. Spent a weekend cruizin Camp Pendelton just so I could watch the underpaid Marines stare and drool:drool: , lots of officers have the new Pony though. Looking forward to doing the PCH this summer, topless all the way. Yes I offered every Marine a ride. Thanks guys for getting the job done, Semper Fi:worship :worship :worship
Sounds lika big time!!:laughlitt
In two weeks I am going to Vegas for a convention (and another one in May) - 260 miles one way and on a Wednesday morning which means NO TRAFFIC!! - got a stack full of MPS CDs ready to go - pretty much everything done by Metallica and both my auto coffee mugs cleaned and ready.

Yes, that'd be the Bay Bridge...and that'd be AWESOME. A definite thrill crossin' that bad boy...great stuff!
