attention any 197 mustangs need a auto fluid change in the dayton area? buy the fluid and filter and ill do it for free, just to make a write up!

but no i wouldent reflash they wont check that. and since its not warrenty work it wont matter at all because your paying for it.

i had my fuel filter for 60K and she was still fine :D

hell never changed the one in my truck. its 140K

Your dealer will charge about 70 bucks for the fuel filter, the tranny fluid should last you around 100K. Is there a problem?
If it isn't warranty work, don't worry about the tune.

Yeah, I agree with the above posters. You can do all of that work yourself if you have a jack, two jack stands, and basic hand tools. There is no reason to change the tranny fluid unless you drive it hard and have above 60k miles on it. If it's pink, it's good.

I may attempt the fuel filter but have read some real horror stories about doing it, like peices breaking off and having to replace the whole fuel lines and stuff. Reason why I want to change it is because I bought an 06 with only 2.5k miles on it so it must have been sitting around for a while

One thing the workshop manual says is to pull the fuse for the fuel pump, and then run the engine until it quits to get the fuel out of the lines. That might help with the spilled gas.

What's the interval for the fuel filter? I'm thinking 30k, but I'm not sure.

its not a ton of gas just some.

your car wont start with out the fuel pump fuse so you mean running?

well theres nothing to be scared of. just dont force it. all you need is a screw driver and what not.

piece of cake

bring it down ill do ur fuel filter for $10 plus parts. and a free trans fluid change plus parts lol

This is the workshop manual page I was looking at when I was checking how to do the fuel filter. I haven't done it myself, but that's where the fuse information is coming from.
