Anyone have them? I am considering a dull gold. I have not seen such an animal on any forum anywhere.

Not sure if I have seen this or not (something rings a bell) and I have no stripes but my immediate reaction to the post topic was "Oh - HELL yeah!!!!

I was considering a bronze or copper color. Even thought about Root Beer Brown (a traditional street machine color no less). I think something with a brownish hue would look GREAT on Mineral Grey becuase of the brownish/red tiny speckles and tones buried in it.

It'd look CHOICE, man. I mean, downright RIGHTEOUS. And frikkin' TUBULAR!

Dig?

Stoopy,
I dig. As we would say in the late 60s "farm out, man". My other major choice was candy apple orange but I don't know if anyone even knows what that is anymore. How can you stand that commute every day into DC? I did it for about 3 years from Woodbridge and decided that was no way to live. I did most of mine on a 750 Yamaha which made it much more enjoyable but it was kind of intense coming home most nights after partying downtown laid down over the handlebars flat out.
Charcoal metallic looks kind of like a ghost shadow; esp at twilite & nightime.

Amigo!!!

Sorry for only now noticing your post - FIRST, WOW MAN I think the idear of Candy-Apple Orange stripes on Mineral Grey is like, a total MIND-Bender, man!!! It's soooo freaky-cool I'm groovin' and trippin' all over it!!! That would be one absolutely far-out, righteous set of wheels man!!! Plus it'd match the orange in my "Hurst Equipped" badge on the dash......it's like, totally copasetic!!! Ooo! OOoo!!! How' 'bout Purple Pearl stripes with Metallic Candy Tangerine borders?

As for the ride on the ol' I-66......I get along pretty well with a little help from my friends, Mr. Santana, Nugent, Trower and Zappa. We have a pretty good time crawling down the road to our own beat. Funny you should mention the bike thing, 'cuz when I need to get my head straightened out I get in the wind, bookin' down the HOV lane on my Honda Shadow Sabre. Born to be mild, dude!

And, DIG IT!! I'm getting into a full-on alternative to the Mustang stripe scene that I GOTS to turn my brother Mineral-Heads on to.....I haven't washed my car in like FOUR WEEKS now since I got it, and it's rained, wind has blown, there's been mud and standing water to drive through and spray from other car's tires and whatnot.....there's this absolutely BEAUTIFUL fine patina of mineral-grey dust and dirt all over the car and when you stand back 5 feet or more from it, there's like, this DEPTH to it that you can feel your eyeballs and head getting sucked into...plus, it's all totally natural and holistic, man! The car is achieving Total Minerality and there's this "velvety" underground-like look to it that just adds an organic warmth. Ahhhhh....

Yeah bro, I say DOWN with The Man and his clay bar, Zaino, military-industrial-complex Polymers and labor-intensive, oppressive, superficial paint maintenance mandates.....there's a New Mother Nature takin' over (literally). Drop that soapy sponge and feed your Min-Grey car's head with organic goodness from the garden! Right Arm!!!

:tongue  :laughlitt

HOLY CRAP!!! THAT"S GREAT!! :laughlitt What a command of the vernacular!:worship

Oh, and I think the Candy orange would be fantastic. The purple/orange is a little too Lakers for me. My original plan was for mineral grey or tungsten with redfire stripes, but I lucked into a silver car. It's getting dark gray metallic stripes.
I was thinking of shade shifter stripes on my Redfire car. The Hotrod works has a Magenta/Gold material that looks killer.
Gold stripes on mineral gray

Like, what are you on, man!!!!!

Burton Cummings wouldn't happen to be your alter ego, would it? :eyepoppin

LMAO - Burton Cummings eh? Didn't expect that one! Never been to Canada but man what a great band!!!!!

I'll be more careful not to have any Procul Harem tunes playing when I post!!!

We now return you to your reguarly scheduled stripe thread....:tongue
Stoopy, man, its like dejevue vue all over again. You are living my life again 25 years later in every detail, even down to knowing the same guy who hangs out around the 14 th street bridge parking lot with his herbal remedies. I had a pretty good time, didn't I? You know, sometimes you get the best ideas when you are herbally challanged, because the pearl purple is really not outside the realm of possibility. Just about anything can be done in good taste. I really did consider light purple and I'll tell you why. Georgia tags are cream colored with bronze numerals, which match the min grey perfectly and in GA you get free tags if you are disabled or received the Purple Heart (which I did, but thats another story), and the purple heart on the tag is about 2 or 3 inches in diameter and is duh... purple! As soon as I put the tag on and stepped back to look at it I knew purple would work if done just right. I finally eliminated it as a possibility for fear of it being too feminine or ricey. I bet Foose could make it look rightous; now I just have to get on tv.

Foose always throws in another color to tie it together. How about Mineral grey stripes with purple pearl and baby blue pinstripes to set the big stripes off? Man that Donald Duck dot was good.:tongue
