that's the plan, the guy wont budge... so i'm walking. but thanks everyoneIts a decent Fox. That price is way high. Out here in San Diego there's a red 91 notch w 66K miles all original for $4995 just to give you an example. I'd skip this one and keep looking. Just my .02
If you want to build a street/strip car there is no reason to start with a pristine original car! Why spend the money to get something that hasn't been touched if that's exactly what you're going to do? All you need is something that's rock solid and is mostly there. $2500 and you'll be in business :bigthumbsupkeep my 05 as a daily and build a fox for a street/strip car. but its gunna have to wait til i graduate and find some decent work. the good unmolested foxes are few and far between and just too expensive right now.
graduate engineering school, im a junior now, and all my money is in the schools pocket.. so its gunna have to wait, but you are right, a solid 2k-3k car will be good for something to cruise in. its all in the future though, i just dont have the time or money for another car to upkeep right now, if im gunna do it i wanna do it right! my opinion of what i wanna do changes like every single day. so until i actually have the cash lined up nothing but ideas will happen. im looking towards a fox though. cheap, fast, reliableIf you want to build a street/strip car there is no reason to start with a pristine original car! Graduate college or HS? I know what you mean about the graduate thing. I really want to start building my next engine - A 408W - but that will have to wait until next year when I am a real, graduated engineer. So far I just have: A block, a flywheel, and valve covers. Now there's an array of parts for you!
