Got a Passport G-Timer GT1 today.Man it's tough to find an open stretch of road mid afternoon to get a couple of 1/4 mile passes in safely.Took awhile on the freeway for enough space to get a few runs in.First pass in drive was a unimpressive 15.10 at 91 mph. Then I tried one shifting manually. But I accidentally started off in 2nd gear(oops). When I realized I was in second I downshifted into 1 st and managed a 15.35 at 92 mph shifting at 5500 rpm.
I got one last run in loading the converter to 1500 rpm and shifting manually at 5000 rpm.Resulting in a 14.80 at 95 mph pass(at an altitude of 2192 ft).Best 0-60 was 6.45 seconds.
This is great little unit for trying out different launch techniques and shift points to see what works best.In the advertisment and on the package it says the GT1 only has one memory recall but much to my surprise mine holds 10 runs in its memory!!!:thumbsup

my Gtech registered 14.5 launching easy out of first and forgot to cut the AC off lol. At the track i ran 14.3 so fairly acurate
Ran a 14.85 @ 93 Mph in drive with a passenger in the car.:shrug OK I guess.
I have a G-Tech Pro, so far the best Ive managed to get is a [email protected] I have no traction though. Ive already changed the upper control arms so maybe when I do the lowers I can get some decent traction because right now if I try to launch at full full power I just sit and spin........stupid traction.
hey...do u guys find that the G-Tech programmer is accurate and worth the $$....i dont have a track close to me and would love to see what my times are....how does it work....what kinda info do u have to input to get the times and HP and TQ estimates.......do i just plug it into the cig lighter? or do i have to run wires to somewhere else???
Hey, yea just follow instructions that come with gtech. I have a older one i just plug into cig lighter.

All you have to do is plug it into the lighter. But you will have to put in some basic info. (with the Pro unit.) Like the cars weight and it will ask you to run through some basic setup steps. Nothing major.
right on....so u guys think its worth the $$.....would u buy it again if u could do it all over again....
I would because I dont live near a track.
How much was it and where did you find itCarey
thanks fellas....i got the info i needed....:thumbup
Ran a new best of 14.70 @ 95 loaded it up in first to 1500 rpm punched it and shifted into second at 5800 rpm and third at 5800.Then backed it up with a 14.77 @ 95.Did a run in drive with the traction control on 16.35 @ 89 yuck!!!
