Well . . . I finally got into the 13s at the track. BUT . . I was up against a 2004 Bentley Continental GT. I ran 13.98 and he ran 13.45. I couldn't BELIEVE it!!!

Then the guy told me it had a 550 hp v12 in it . . . still . . . a FREAKIN BENTLEY??????

Sounds like you need N2O, or a S/C to show the money bag up.

Jeb,

He's got a vortech! I'm not really sure how you "Show up" a guy in a Bentley. At the end of the day, he still has a Bentley;)

Good runs though. Glad to see you made it to the 13s!

Well one way to think of it is like this.
You didnt pay some 200 thousand dollors for a car.

I'm surprised you're only running 13's with all the add on's.....

Its hard to get a 95 vert with a stock motor to go real fast . . . remember, the 95 5.0s are only 215hp. And, verts are heavier. Before the mods, my best time was a 15.766 . . . so . . . I've knocked nearly 2 seconds off my ET.

I had my share of wins last night, including a couple of other stangs. And the anouncer had all kinds of fun with the convertible thing (I was the only vert at the strip).

Next week I'll be faster with the methanol/water injection.

At the end of the day . . . while a lot of other guys were putting their headlights back in . . pulling their cars onto trailers . . . switching back to street tires . . . or trying to drive fast on the way home to cool off . . . I simply put the top down with my wife ridin shotgun and my kids in the back and cruised home. :)

As for the Bentley, I ran into him on the way home and we chatted at a light. He must live somewhere near me. Bottom line . . . if I wanted a bad to the bone luxury car and I had 150 grand to blow . . . I'd be lookin' at the Bentley. :winks

I felt really bad for one guy in a black 2005 GT . . he dropped a rod when he hit his nitrous, grenaded his motor, and his car caught fire . . . drag.

I agree. Even if you beat a car like that (Ferrari's, the Continental GT, even Porsche's) you're still driving a mustang. Don't get me wrong... I love my mustang... but if you're driving something like that... it's more than about who's faster, cuz if you want to play that game... I'm sure that the guy with the exotic could buy 10 cars and make them all as fast as any mustang... Driving an exotic is all about driving an exotic... not if it can beat HEAVILY modded cars. Those are just my thoughts.

Well . . my hat was off to the guy for bringin the Bentley to the track. It's more than just "driving" an exotic if you actually show up and race with it. Hell . . if you have 550hp worth of 12 Cylinder engine . . . might as well use it.

And . . . 13.427 @ 106 mph ain't bad for a 5,300 pound car . . . with televisions in the headrests . . .lol

Actually it's N2O... Two atoms of nitrogen and one of oxygen. When you add N2O to the combustion process, when the N20 reaches a certain temperature, the atoms break their bond, therefore adding more oxygen to the mixture to burn more fuel. :winks

Well, maybe, but it amazes me at how many of these guys want to street race a mustang (a Bentley CGT tried to race me through traffic near Ft. Wroth a couple of weeks ago). Maybe a little Stang lust on their part? :winks

Exactly! Wouldn't it be great to have the money to just collect cars? :eyepoppin I'd have to have a garage that was bigger than my house.

You know, its always the guy in the Mustang that everyone wants to pick on. Maybe this is a bad thing, but IMO its more of a compliment.

Oh, and the Bentley has a W12, not a V12.

13s arent bad but maybe u ought of throw something in it making it run 12s nd yes u would have showed the continental up cause he still lost no matter how much he weighd or paid but good luck next time

Truuble, I think that the two main things that your are missing that can greatly help your power are a set of heads and an intake. The heads on our cars are the biggest choke points. And from what I can see in your signature your still using both stock units which are not taking advantage of the great blower you put on the car. I would change those pieces out (along with a larger throttlebody) before spending money on a Methanol Water Injection Boost Cooler kit.

Well, Stonecold . . I agree. And, I just blew a head gasket. So, the timing is perfect!!! New heads and intake tomorrow!! . . Plus the Snow kit, a line lock, a shift light, and an oil breather tank . . . lol

Betcha I'm in the 11s by the weekend . . . :eyepoppin

no, it's an Oxide, N2O

NO2 is Nitrogen DIoxide

I got killed by a camaro ss at the track 13.2 to my 14.6 hahah. But i got the ricer jump-i red lighted LOL
