First the install was a snap. Took 2 of us 3 hours but almost half that was waiting on getting a couple of tools we thought we had but didnt and deciding on bottle location.

Now I have a manny tranny, when I go to the strip do I want to have it armed at the line or arm when I am in 2nd or 3rd gear?

You do not want to be messing with buttons when you are on the drag strip. Besides not helping with your ETs it's not really safe either, I think.

The best thing to do would be to buy a window switch with gear lockout. This does two things for you: 1) it keeps the nitrous system turned off until you reach a certain RPM, usually 2500 or so. You don't want to be injecting nitrous at RPMs lower than 2500. With the gear lockout, it will also keep the system turned off until you are in second gear if you choose. www.fjoracing.com has two that look really good. I bought the computer controlled version (am having second thoughts about that because now I have to bring a laptop computer to the track) and a manual version.

well you asked if you arm it at the line. im the NMU takes care of injecting the nitrous at WOT.. arm it after your burnout. if youre on a tire launch hard and hold on and hope nothin breaks. watch your rpms they climb faster on spray

I agree. Arm it just after your burnout, then purge and stage. I think that not having your nitrous armed in first gear is wasting possible power, if you can get it to the ground. Just turn it on and launch and if you are not using MT ET streets or some other sticky tire you are wasting your time at the track in the first place.
