GT exhaust or V6 exhaust? Compatible Exhaust Kit? 1997 Mustang V6

796 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Tuflehundon
Ok, so I drive a 1997 V6 and am looking into a new exhaust kit to replace my rusted out duals. But, I am not sure if I should invest any extra money into a GT kit and covert it to accomedate my V6 or stick with the MAC 3" Kit I am looking into.

Please, I would like as much response as possible.
I would also like reviews from those of you who've done this yourself.

Also, I am sure this has been asked a million times, but I need response ASAP and this is the best way to get it!

Thanks

go to an exhaust shop to fab you up one. Easiest and cheapest way to do it.
i agree with Stanger98....go with 2.25 inch pipe for straight thru mufflers,2.5 inch pipe for chambered mufflers.3 or 3.5 inch tips.
could i buy the magnaflow magnapack kit, and the OR-H pipe and have the muffler shop fab it up?

because i would really like to be able to knock it all out in one purchase

buy the magnapacks and have the shop fab up the rest. shops can make a custom h-pipe for you.
I agree with the previous post, buy your own mufler and have them fab the rest. You will save money that way
