Hi everyone I have a set of gt40p heads and wanted to improve the exhaust. I wanted to buy a set of ferrea valves the 6000 series part number F6260 they are slightly larger than stock 1.46 verses 1.48 and they are 14 degree superflo. Can I put these into my heads as they are or will some machining be required to make them fit? They are expensive and i don't want to run into any additional expenses. I called Ferrea and they said to ask a machinist or head shop. Thank you very much for any responses

yes the heads will have to be machined. but just changing to a larger valve will not improve flow without bowl blending and some port work.

the valve bowl throat should be ~90% the size of the valve. If you increase the valve diameter, you should work the bowl and throat.
