Most people simply go with ceramic pads/slotted rotors and call it a day on the V6.
14" 4 pistons are going to be massive overkill.

The real problem is finding GT500 take-off parts.

Stock brakes are pathetic on these cars in terms of engineering and longevity. My 02 caravan has far better braking power with better fade resistance than my Mustang. All 4 calipers need replacing on my car due to various issues, both rears because of the piss poor parking brake design.

I would only upgrade the brakes if they used better engineered parts than Ford used. I don't care what anyone says, the stock brakes are a pathetic.

Just get 03/04 cobra brakes if your really set on upgrading the brakes! They have plenty of stopping power and recommend them to other sixers that want to upgrade the system. However, you'd need at minimum 17" rims. And yes these are direct bolt ons and are not that hard to find!

Well I do recommend the cobra brakes, I've had them for about a month now and love the braking and the looks. Just remember that it is your car and you could do whatever you want to it! :bigthumbsup
