I have an opportunity to buy a torch red GT500 front bumper cover only for $100, and I was wondering, what the total cost would be with all of the rest of the accesories (lights/grill/bracketry ect) to do my front end conversion. I am not familiar with all that is involved, so I just wanted to bounce it off you guys for some who have done it allready. I don't want to do the hood, just the bumper.(I want a trufibre hood eventually to compliment the 500 bumper)
anybody who has done it, what did all the little goodies cost you?

Well $100 for the bumper cover is a steal. You are looking at about $1500-$2000 for the rest of the GT500 front end (hood, air splitter, headlights, foglights, foglight wiring harness, sight shield, upper/lower grill, bumper brackets, etc). If you are wanting the rear facia and rear sucktail, add another $500 or so. That of course does not count cost of prep/paint/install. I am planning on doing the conversion soon, my parts (minus hood, and using Cervini air splitter & grill) will be about $1800 in parts and $800 paint install etc.

My rear end is allready converted. Craigslist, pre-painted used gt500 bumper, for $250, and a $100 aftermaket pre painted gt500 spoiler. Done. This bumper I am looking at is a blem bumper allready in my color, so if the blem is small enuf, I won't have to paint. I allready have the splitter on my v6 (hectormartinez sells kits here) Sooooo

I'm lookin at bracketry, lights, and grills.
Any ideas what those alone will cost?

List price when I got my items last year was
Brackets 25. each
Headlights 152. each
Grill 167. & 194.

You will need to replace the forward inner fender liner or try and modd yours.

I did it and purchased my parts from www.silverstatefordparts.com. Their prices are below. I will tell you that the part number for the bumper reinforcement isn't the correct number (for the life of me I can't find the correct number), but the price is correct. The number below is a part number for a bumper reinforcement but it is a more expensive one that you don't need. I think the guy at silverstatefordparts hooked me up by correcting that part number. (As many times as I've shared this information, it's unfathomable that I didn't have all the correct parts numbers and prices together in one place! Now I do.) Good luck!

By my rough math skills that comes to $1356.00. That's pretty good - especially coming from a ford dealer. Kits i've seen on the web go $1600 - $2000 and normally do not include wiring harness.
For my own education - what is a air splitter? I do not see a front spoiler on hte list.

That's an extremely good price! Do it man! :D

And an air splitter is basically a chin spoiler for the GT500. I don't think it's necessary, but looks very good.
Gashog has one on his GT, looks sick!

Plus... these kits are NOT painted in your color allready... so add another $350-$400 to the top of that cost.... this deal will have me completed for less thatn $1000 bucks if I am frugal. (wich I am) It might take some time to scrape it together, but in the end, I'll get-er-dun for less than a thousand. I promise you. :so
