Need some advice so I don't break my headlight gasket housing.

1- The headlight bulb assembly is easy to get out of the headlight
2- The Bulb itself is spring loaded and comes right on out.
3- I have a set of Sylvania SilverStart H13 I'd like to replace
4- Once the spring loaded bulb is moved out you'll see the O-ring and housing. The housing is what I'm concerned with this connects to the wiring harness and It appears I need to move the housing that originally had the spring loaded bulb

What is the best way to remove that without breaking it. I don't have any pictures to go by that's why I have concern, the manual shows two pieces of the headlight bulb wire assembly, I'm trying to separate them without applying too much pressure and breaking it.

I looked at the online manual and it shows there are two separate parts, what is the best way to get them separated.

Thanks,

Chad

Update I am able to separate the wiring harness from the bulb housing. It appears the H13 I have the plastic connection to the wiring harness is too small, needs to be a few CM wider to fit. Is anyone else having this issue to or did I just get the wrong pair. These are H13/9008, which I assumed would work.

I bought mine in singles, AA sells them in a double pack

I changed mine (H13), all I did was rotate the bulb 90 degrees and it came right out. Going in, I inserted then rotate back 90 degrees. I think its CCW for out & CW for insertion, but can't remember for sure. Take off the radiator cover, & I also removed my CAI filter & housing. Drivers side is easier, the passenger side was a tight fit for my hand.

Well I'm a dumbA$$, I didn't break anything so thats good. It appears that our stangs already come with this version of The Sylvania with the 2011 Mustang. Luckily I got mine fairly cheap. I'll keep them as a backup set in case mine ever go out or eventually ebay them. Trying to do a simple mod that already existed. Laughing ensues..

and I completely missed this on American Muscle.

I replaced mine with the silverstars tonight. (H13) twist, pull out, push pin and pull on wire harness, plug new bulb in, insert and rotate. Excellent upgrade it is night and day from stock. Couldnt be happier :bigthumbsup
