I just wanted to wish all the dad's out there a Happy Fathers Day. My day dad got me involved in cars many years ago. Per my mom, we spend way too many hours either working on cars in the garage or at car shows. I enjoyed every minute of it and wish he was still around today. He died 7 years ago and was about 90% done with another car project. I completed the car and will never sell it. My son will get way down the road and yes he's into cars and trucks. I just wish dad was here when I pick up my new 2011 5.0 in two weeks. I can just see him going through the gears with a big smile on his face.

That's how it is with Dad's you never know how much you enjoy their company until they're gone.

Thanks for the fathers day wish. I am glad you still honor your father's memories. Keeping those alive lets you keep a piece of him nearby until you meet again.

I lost my dad in 1995. Last night my 2 sons (Erik is a junior in Army ROTC at Univ of SC and Patrick is a senior at TSA Academy), my wife and I went to Outback for Father's Day. Very special for me. I retired after 28 years in the US Army several years ago and my sons will follow as officers. I told them as a Sergeant Major they had to listen to me! God Bless the USA! And fathers! LOL!
