HARD power steering

Hi Okay we'll i have no idea what happened but heres what it was like before, the steering was okay just had to give it some rpms to make steering easier around parkinglots. Now heres how it is, giving rpms doesn't helpt steering at all it is very hard to turn anywhere especially in parking lots. Now it only started doing this when i floored it. i have a brand new control valve so its not that. I figure its either the pump or the cylinder, can any1 depict which one i need to get. the steering is as hard when the car is off as when the car is on and the pump is pumping. HElp i can't drive it the way it is.

Hello.:) The power steering pump normally makes all sorts of weird noises when it's going bad. Not 100% of the time, but it is really, really strange when they just die in silence. They usually go out screaming.:gringreen The cylinder, on the other hand, usually does not make any noises, and it would make perfect sense for the higher rpms to help a failing cylinder for a little while because of the increased pressure generated by the pump. Try taking the belt off of the power steering pump. If that doesn't change anything and it still steers just like it did, then it's probably the cylinder. Hope that helps.:)
Try to place a pressure gauge on the pump pressure side of the system. This will at least give you somewhere to start your diagnosis.
Ok well guess what this morning i started it up, and guess what i got power steering again, i deducted that i only lose all power steering after flooring it, My deductions tell me that my relief valve is stuck open when i floor it thus giving me NO assist in steering and over night the valve becomes unstuck when the motor cools thus going back to what it was b4. are my deductions correct if so should i replace the whole pump? I should also mention that this morning and i guess b4 it was always a little harder to steer right than left.
