Short tubes won't give you much of a performance boost. Better to spend the money elsewhere unless you just like the look of the headers.
Don't waste your money on shortys. Wait till you can afford long tubes !!Looking to get some headers, have been looking at the bbk shorty's to save some cash, but a friend has me thinking about some long tubes but i need cats in my state no ways around that so can i find long tubes and catted piped for around $500?
Since i can get the bbk shorty's for $330

Long tubes will net you ~15-18rwhp while the BBK shorties will only net you 4-6rwhp. When you consider that the installation cost of either will be about the same ($400-600 unless you DIY), it makes more sense to go with long tubes unless you want to preserve the stock H-pipe.a friend has me thinking about some long tubes but i need cats in my state no ways around that so can i find long tubes and catted piped for around $500?

I would suggest Kooks , ARH , or JBA. I installed the JBA and they fit like a glove, they slid right in and bolted up with no problems whatsoever. Nice thing is they are nice and tight to the underside so when I lower it they won't scrape on anything. Did it myself on the ground without any help and took me about 6 hrs.labor not a concern i work at a lincoln dealer,
but there are a lot of brands so who like what is my question
