Headlight Switch Gone Bad

2042 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  EagleAutosports
While driving home last night my dash lights went completely out. The climate control was also out. However, the dome, glove box, clock and headlights were fine. I checked the fuses and they were also fine. I sought help from others and was told to check my headlight switch. Indeed it was damaged and the harness needed to be replaced also. I purchased a new switch from Napa (also available from Oreilly's, 50resto, Advance Auto or Local Ford Dealership). The harness I purchased from Ford. See the attachments for a visual of what I found. Hope this helps anyone who encounters the same problem. 1995 Mustang GT - 235,000 Miles

Yup, that's a common problem. Those switches usually burn up around the 14-15 year mark along with the harness.

Thanks for the pictures.
