Hi, I'm new to the site. I'm on a few other sites and decided to try this one too. I have a '68 coupe that is almost finished. I pulled the motor for a refresh but it ended up being a total overhaul. It was either #2 or #6 piston skirt fell off on the floor when I was pulling the pistons out and some of the main bearings were scored pretty bad. It was raced by the previous owner so it's no wonder there was some damage to the motor. I was told the cars best time was [email protected]. The motor that is in the car is a '71 351c4v. I probably added another 100hp to it after the rebuild. The previous owner lowered the compression to 9.5:1 so he could run pump gas. I raised the compression to 12.5:1 cause I'm running it on Propane. A little bit bigger cam was installed and a few other things were added. I'm guessing the E.T. will stay about the same cause of the added xtra weight of the 37 gal. propane tank in the trunk. Any questions, feel free to ask. Later, Mike
