When i changed my modulator valve,transmission fluid poured out.Also there is a little rod that goes in the modulator valve,what does that rod do?There also appers to be a slotted screw on one end of the modulator valve.What is that for?Thanks.

Losing fluid when you pull out the old valve is normal. The little rod that you are speaking of is probably the vacuum port that supply vacuum for the valve to work.

Losing fluid is ok as long as the valve stay in. The rod is what puts pressure against the vavle from the spring that is inside the modulator. The little screw in the back of the modulator is to adjust the spring tension. It is set to a specific spring tension and rarely needs to be adjusted.
