Hey guys im replacing my clutch for the first time. I've decided to go with the Comp clutch stage 4 1620 series that includes pressure plate and of course the clutch no flywheel. Anyway about a week ago i put my 1989 Ford mustang back together after a tough 8 hrs, since it was my first time doing it. The problem is when it was all back together as soon as i started the car a loud unusual grinding noise occurred. I lift my car back up and i immediately noticed that my clutch was grinding against the bellhousing, no serious harm was done. Before i bought the new flywheel i sized them up and were a perfect match even same material. could it be that i torqued them wrong? was it my error? Plz help guys

Did you use the clutch alignment tool to make sure everything was centered?
