HELP GT500 dual pumps not cycling

822 Views 11 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  sqidd
I installed new pumps and harness according to directions took my time and rechecked my work. Every thing that was loose has a home. The problem seems to be pumps don't cycle when key is turned on. Check power at the relay that came with new harness power is there. cycle key several times still no fuel at rails. Went to inertia fuel shutoff valve and it's spring loaded in the up position. First time with valve.
I don't know if this is my problem or not. Reading service manual for trouble shooting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a new one... Wonder if the FPDM is bad?

I called and talked to tech folks at ford racing parts they told me to check inertia fuel shut off valve Going to do that right now.

I thought you checked that last night?:scratchchin

And????
I think he just checked to make sure it wasn't tripped. He is going to check the power to the switch. But if the relay is switching sending power there should be power at the shut off switch right?

I'm getting power to the relay on new harness and power to the inertia fuel valve. fuel level indicator is working. More trouble shooting needed.

Your just not getting a brake with this are you.
Did you check for power before and after the FPDM?
Looks like something was broke out of the box on this one.
was this ever resolved?
He's still struggling to get it running.
Man, ditch that GT500 setup (or at least mod it) and go with a return system. Especially with the power you are making. The return systems rock, there is nothing to them. Got 12v? Check. Regulator set correctly? Check. Got fuel I the tank? Check. And you’re ready to go.
