Recently my 2011 Mustang GT clutch went out, and I am in the process of replacing it. I am planning to put in an Exedy Stage 3 Clutch, Exedy T.O Bearing/ Slave Cylinder, and a steel braided clutch line. I have all of the parts, however when I opened up my clutch, there was only one dowel pin in there. To my knowledge, it had never had a clutch job before. Here is the issue, the dowel pin in there already is quite long, and the new ones supplied by Exedy and even in the Ford Performance flywheel bolt pack are just not the right size. They are all so short and do not reach the pressure plate once inserted in the flywheel. My flywheel only has one set of holes for the dowel pins, not several like in the Exedy installation sheet. Has anyone had this issue or can lend any help? I appreciate it

Since these pins align the pressure plate to the crank shaft centerline, they have to be long enough to go into the pressure plate before you install the bolts. Check the holes on the original pressure plate to see if there are sign of being elongated. If the plate bolts worked loose a little, the pins could have worked themselves out.

Are you planning on using the stock flywheel with a performance exedy clutch.

FYI, Exedy still has this problem with this clutch kit (at least on the 2011 mustang GT we are working on right now), and the Ford Racing bolt and dowel pin kit doesn't work either. The the pressure plate needs a 6.3mm diameter pin, which is the same as stock. The flywheel holes are 7mm. The stock pin is stepped 7mm to 6.3mm and is long enough to to work. The Exedy supplied pins are 8mm stepped to 6.3mm, so you would have to drill the flywheel out to use them. The Ford Racing kit comes with 8mm stepped to 6.3mm pins and also straight 6.3mm pins. It does not come with any 7mm pins that actually fit the stock flywheel.
