i just took out the back quarter panels to replace my rear speakers. I had to remove my seat belts to take out the panels, and when i put them back on the drivers side (bracket/ extender arm?) doesn't click and stay forward. it just goes back to its straight down position.

has anybody else had this problem? and if so is there an easy fix? its pretty hot outside so any help that can cut down on the time i have to be outside messing with this piece would be great. thanks for any help

Those damn extenders again!

They very first day i picked up my car, June 30 2010, I picked up a buddy to show off the new ride. He got in the passenger seat and went to buckle up. The seatbelt extender was down and as he buckled up and pulled the belt forward, I heard a loud plastic SNAP. Turns out, when they were getting the car ready for delivery, the dealer had put the belt extender down to gain better access to the rear seats and never put it up again. This was the worst thing you could ever here on a new car with less then 50 km on it. I dont blame my friend but he felt so bad about it and offered to pay for the fix.

I went into the dealer the next day and explained what had happened. Turns out you have to buy a new belt to get the plastic extender! I quickly explained the sistuation to the parts rep and inquired whether this would be warrenty. He then asked his manger who assured my it would be as its srs related so i ordered the belt with no down payment. A week later i dropped the car off for service. The adviser looked at me like i was nuts when i double check to see if it was in fact warranty. She didnt see any reason why it would be and kind of gave me the stink eye. I clearly enfisied that the parts manager had told me it would be covered and left for work to await her call. Hours later the advisor called and told me they would do me a ``favor`` as i had just bought the car. WTF, it was like they wanted to hold this over my head. I never ever felt like i was minipulating the dealer as I simply explained what had happend and was promised it would be covered.

Long and short, my was replaced under warranty, and saved my 300 ish dollars.

Hope you can make something like this work for you. I realize this dose not really give you any advice but well... sorry for the story and or rant
