I lowered my engine about a half inch on my steeda motor mounts and I just realized that my steering shaft is rubbing or just barely missing my header on the drivers side. Is there a way I can get the steering shaft away from the header?

Raise the motor back up or hit the headers in the area they will hit the tubes.

is there anyway I can just shift the steering shaft over an 8th of an inch or so

No not really , you need to dent the headers to give yourself the clearance you need.

Ohh yea I forgot, you might be able to losen your motor mounts and shift the engine to one side more.

Could the steering shaft rubbing on the header cause any other performance issues than steering problems? Because the steering feels fine but the engine feels a bit sluggish. I was wondering if the power steering was causing any extra drag on the motor due to the contact.
