Id say your in cali, and theres car shows somewhere every weekend im sure. Get out to one and ask some owners to hear what they got. Or search around forums for clips to hear them. I have a nice little collection of audios from numorous types of axle backs. Bassani sounds the best to me so far. I would like to hear in person tho.

In our club there are cars equipped with almost every aftermarket exhaust. My hardtop has Magnaflows and my convert has Flowmasters. I tried the Loudmouths - they were cool at idle but tended to sound like a Tijuana bus under load. One of the club memebers has them and loves them. Truth is it all boils down to personal taste. Where are you in CA? I'm a member of the San Diego Mustang Club

I am going to be partial the the Ford Racing exhaust for the 2005 Mustang. It is made by Borla, even says so on the blueprint sheet that you get with the mufflers. What I like is the 4" rolled tips that say on them Ford Racing.

As for the sound, :D

Here is a clip:

I love my MAC Axlebacks. Not too loud, not too soft and imho, the best looking of them all.

I love the Loudmouths still debating the x-pipe. And for $224 shipped it's hard to beat.
Where can you purchase the SLP Loudmouth axle-backs for $224 shipped?
I'm leaning toward these myself.

Got mine here: http://www.lmperformance.com/5535/73.html
Looks like the price has gone up. It may go back down. I purchased mine about two weeks ago for $224.95 total (free shipping). Ordered on a Tuesday and they arrived that Thursday:thumbsup .
