As you can see by my name My wife just got a Grabber Blue Mustang V6 Automatic Base. It is her car but it is my toy so I have a Mod list that I want to do and was wanting all and every opinion on these. I am going to start ASAP so please feel free to say I am an idiot or give me your opinion.

1) Hood Spears (ebay) in Matte Black with 'Mustang" text (already purchased)
2) Side Marker tint film to 30% (already purchased)
3) Boss 336 wheels 20 inch by 8.5 so I can rotate them (not yet purchased)
4) Replacement Door speakers and possible sub (not yet purchased) (keep stock head unit)
5) Flowmaster Force II Axle Back exhaust
6) Cold air AirAID bolt on intake
7) California special Grille (need one bad because I love how it looks)
8) Side inlets (the stick on kind)
9) maybe something with a new drive shaft...I have heard good things about upgrading.

I would say:
1. Bama custom tune
2. Roush axle back instead of flowmaster
3. Get rid of side stripe
4. Good detailing products

Good luck with all your stuff :yup:
But if you're getting the CS grille from Ford it'll set you back over 500 clams. Just sayin... :wavey

To be honest I am the most worried about the wheels. I dont know how much it will change the ride but the Wifey says I can do anything I want to the car except make it worse aka. crappin out the ride comfort.

Its not my car or I would drop the stripes. After I got the car for her I am seriously thinking about getting myself a 5.0 manual...

My poor scion Tc just does not do it for me anymore

I think a JLT or Airraid are the best CAIs and do not relegate you to a tune if you don't want one. If you need to service your car at the dealer, you can simply return to stock. Whereas, the Steeda CAI would make your car run like crap, plus cost over $100 more for the pleasure. Steeda springs are a different story though.....

For the price and sound I think Roush or Pypes sounds best as well. Just depends on whether or not you want to upgrade to 2.5" piping from the x-pipe back and gain maybe 10hp otherwise just the axle back will suit you. The Pypes system only costs about $50-100 more. Or you can do what I did and just remove your mufflers and replace them with the Pypes mufflers for $85.

I think you can still be comfortable in 19s, 20s are pushing it. I have 17s and think they actually look okay for a retro looking muscle car. I will eventually upgrade to wider 18s. I think it'll improve the handling a little, plus the tires aren't outrageously priced.

I have a connection here with tires too. I like the look of 19inchers but they are really hard to find down here. Online might be an option. I also do not believe that the Boss 336 comes in a 19...might have to rethink that too.

Steeda CAI w/tune. Flowmaster axle back exhaust. And how about some Steeda Sport Springs to go with those wheels?:yup:
Sell, sell, sell, Mr. Salesman. Biased opinion, indeed.

Welcome OP, good luck and happy modding.

If a CAI doesn't require a tune, how would it be better than one that flows more air and requires a tune? Just wondering. I realize it is more expensive, but if you're getting a tuner anyway, why not go with a CAI that is better than the stock airbox? If you don't plan on a tuner, stay with the stock intake or maybe a drop in K&N.

Ugh, this old argument again? You can buy a Steeda cai that requires a tune or buy a JLT or Airraid cai and get the same output and not require a tune. Yes all cais will make a little more power with a tune but the key here is that two options will allow you to run just fine without a tune, they just happen to cost less. Sometimes more is not better.

Why even bother with a CAI if it doesn't flow any more air than the stock intake? Not trying to start an argument, I just don't understand your logic. Why not skip the CAI altogether, since the stock intake is pretty efficient, and just do the tune? I don't understand why you would even recommend a CAI if it doesn't increase air flow?

I had a 2007 Scion TC that I unfortunately wrecked... let's just say that other than the incredible ipod connectivity, the Stang OWNS the scion hard... and I have a 3.7.

Mak Haik Ford...(a big ass dealer) is selling it to me for 285 plus 35 for the mustang ornament. They said they would do the install for free too. WIN
That's not the tuxedo black CS grille then... they are twice as much as the dark painted billet grille. If so, you got a hell of a deal.
