After coming to reality and coming to the conclusion that $3000 isn’t going to get it all done. I have decided (If possible) to upgrade the suspension, brakes, and stiffen the chassis. I have been looking at GRANATELLI for the suspension, K-member and chassis stiffening. They seem affordable and considering I’m not really building a race car the quality looks good. What do you guys think?

I have also been looking at this web site http://sn95brakes.cjb.net/ for help with the 5lug conversion and disk brake conversion in the rear. Can you guys tell me where would be a good place to acquire the parts needed?

Also, if there is anyone in the Indy/Greenfield area that wouldn’t mind helping a newbie out I would appreciate it. :worship

Thanks

You can get the basic brake conversion parts from a junk yard, and they have great deals out there on new Bullitt/Mach 1 Calipers and rotors.

Hey man, ive been waiting a LONG time to show somebody this DEAL.

Cool Blue Performance, an EBAY store

http://stores.ebay.com/Cool-Blue-Performance

go there, and search for K-Member.

They have a D&D Motorsports, AND a Granatelli KIT for about 600 bucks flat.

this has the K-Member, Tubular A-Arms with balljoints, etc. AND a front coilover set. theres some other stuff too, but i cant really remember. check it out tho.

but if youre really looking for brakes, check this kit out...
http://www.dndmotorsports.com/?page...category_id=59ac4b6e557ac8d2e8ee07ffed6a74b1&
it runs about 2grand... but it has alot of advantages over the Ford kit.

the D&D kit takes about 155 lbs off of your front end.
i think they may require use of motor plates, but hey, for 600 bucks, thats a deal! the D&D Kit costs about 1500 Direct from D&D.

worth a look fellas!

Check with UPR on the k member kit. It comes with the k, A arms, and coilovers for $700. I just put one on my car. . . . it rocks.

Thanks for the Link.. That should save me a couple of bucks.

How hard was it to put that UPR k-member in? Was there anything out of the ordinary?

I have located the parts I need for the SN95 brake conversion at a local junk yard. They want 75$ per spindle, is that a good deal? I think may have found a set of 5 lug axles but I'm kind of confused as to which one will work because one is longer than the other.

94/95 Front Spindles are the best choice and you can take an entire rear from a 94-98 and bolt it in or just use the axles and brake parts and bolt them to your rear.

It went in pretty easy. The only thing that was tough was that we had to put som spacers in the top bar, but it wasn't a big deal.
