ok, he we go. i have a 00 mustang gt, 5 spd 3:73's Jlt CAI, spec stage 1 clutch, aluminum d/s, UPR o/r xpipe and flow master cat back. the problem is, an exsess vibration i guess you could say. ive already looked ar other threads, and none of them really sound like what mines doin. if im accelerating, everythings fine up until maybe aboud 55, and then it goes away for a bit, then if i let of the throttle it comes back. if i pull it out of gear it'll do it as well up until about 20-25. it feels like its comeing from the back, but im not 100% on that.

the first thought that came to mind is maybe my rear wheels are out of balance or something, so im gonna check that out tomorrow. but i had a buddy say tonight say it may be bad mounts. which leads me to writeing this to get the opion of ya'll. preciate all the help i can get in advanced.

Sounds like you're on the right track with the engine and transmission mounts. I would lean more towards the transmission mount. Also check the ouput shaft on the transmission, if the bushing is worn in there, it can cause a lot of vibration at weird times.
i figured someone would say that... how much of a pain in the a** are the motor mounts? the tranny mounts should'nt be to bad, but the bushings you were talking about, not looking forward to this at all, lol.
Motor mounts are a lot of fun. Seriously, they are :yup:

All you have to do is remove the front suspension and drop the k-member (support the engine on a jack). Then you have access to the motor mounts!!
You can do them without dropping the K-Member. You just have to jack the engine up a bit to do it.
suhweeet, lol. looks like i know what im doin next payday.
check the easy stuff first if ur getting a viberation it could just be the U-JOINTS i had the same problem in a 92GT few years back same symptoms as urs. get under the car and push and pull on the drive shaft mine were so bad i could move mine up and down cause the bearing caseings on the U-JOINTS were broke and all the little bearings fell out. try that and see if they are bad u will be able to tell rite of the bat.....good luck..
You can do them without dropping the K-Member. You just have to jack the engine up a bit to do it.

I replaced both my motor mounts with a 12" piece of wood with a notch carved into it that I place under the crank pulley as close to the engine as I could.

Then remove the bolts from the motor mounts and slowly jack the engine up in the front until it starts to touch the firewall.

I was able to remove both and replace them without any issues. Just remember to support the engine in case the jack slips so you don't lose a hand or finger.
