I've been reading past posts and got inspired to share some fun news.
I just got a '01 GT convertible. Bought it from my mom and she got a new '05 GT. Pretty sweet deal, but not free by any means. For some reason I've been noticing the ricer guys really don't like a 25 year old woman driving a red GT. It inspires them to be morons.
So...I have 2 wonderful kill stories...I don't normally race, but sometimes the mood hits and I have to put these goons in their place...
The first one was the day after I got the car. I was trying to get on the freeway and had a pair of guys in a beat up ricer were not letting me merge. I'd sped up, they did too. I'd slow down, they did too. I finally said f* this and gunned it. I heard the poor car whine next to me and I was gone. Further down the road I was pinched behind a truck and they caught up (took quite awhile) both look at me with one nasty look and I just smiled. I think that teed them off even more.
The second kill was a couple days ago. I was sitting at a light near our house with my future hubby in the passenger seat. This perfectly coiffed blonde pulls up beside me in an Acura something or another. She looks at me with 'the evil eye' and starts inching forward. "Oh no, that lil {bleep} is not going to pass me". Light changes and I floored it. She kept up for a few but then I was gone. She finally gave up and wouldn't come anywhere near me after that. A guy that was follwing in a Camaro pulled up to a stop sign behind me and was laughing his @ss off and gave me the thumbs up.
Pretty good feeling. Most of the time though I just don't even bother. A speeding ticket isn't too appealing to me.

Sorry to make this so long. I guess you could call it my intro...:smoke:

It's fun making the guys realize that girls can keep up, if not blow their doors off.

It is making me think of things to do to the car though. It may wind up being as expensive a hobby as riding a Harley. :naughty
I'm trying to find little cheap things I can start with until I get out of college and get a 'real' job.

It seems to have more of an effect on guys than when I was driving a truck. One guy yesterday was all googly eyed and his wife smacked him. Pretty funny stuff.
Oh yeah, here's a pic of my new toy...
She's all stock (for now). I'm having a hard time deciding what to do first. It's kind of a money issue right now.
