Hello to all. I have been looking for a forum for about a month, and settled on this one. I have a 1966 Mustang Coupe, and a getting a 1965 Coupe.

I have been searching for a classic car for several years, and really wasn't looking at the older Mustangs. I picked up the 66 about 2 years ago sitting in a junk yard. It has a straight 6 engine and pretty solid body. I am going to restore it this year. It will be a driver for me, the wife and probably the sons,(gasp). I need fenders and hood, that is about it for body parts. I don't know alot about Mustangs, that is why I joined.

The 1965 I just bought, haven't seen it yet. Body needs work, 289 engine, I will update you when I pick it up.

Well that is about all for now, let me know if anyone has parts for these cars.
thanks. I am going to explore the forum now.

Hello.:)Welcome.You'll find that, for the most part, parts for the old Mustangs are very reasonably priced in comparison to most vintage cars. The cars aren't tremendously complicated to work on either. With a good set of basic hand tools and a couple of things like a torque wrench, timing light and volt meter a person that is mechanically inclined can easily perform most repair operations.Good luck on your new cars, and again, welcome.:)
Welcome to the site! We've been working on our son's 65 289 auto. off and on for almost 3 years. It's drivable, and I trust her, but she has issues still. I wish we had known about this site from the beginning! Good luck to you, and keep us POSTED!
