Are you all getting flashed by idiots that dont know that our fog lights are not high beams? I finally snapped tonite and chased down a kid in a new avalanche and blasted him with my high beams!! :sterb: This poor 18 ish young man was shakin in his boots. I felt bad after my police quality turn and burn and intercept. He got 2 months worth of rath. :smoke:

Same here.

Noticed it on a trip to the beach. Mostly large SUV's, who also got the flash of brights treatment from me, but without the drama you mentioned. It is very annoying, isn't it?

Yes, I never use em cause everyone flashes their brights at me. Did you notice that if you flash your high beams on with the fog lights on it turns them off. Flickering between them you kinda look like a cop.

Don't blame anyone for this, I too had a mustang come toward me and thought he had on the high beams, those so called fog lights are about just as large as the regular ones.

I guess the only way people will realize they are foglights is to get yellow bulbs for them. I use them quite a bit on my F150 because of the wide pattern of light they throw, which really helps a lot in backroads at night.

It's certainly understandable that folks will confuse them with high beams because of their placement. If they were down low on the fascia, you'd never get a flash.

Getting Flashed

Yeah it happens to me occassionally, although I can live with it. Ironically, I brought up the same topic awhile back. Its annoying because the "flasher" will usually flash me just as they are about to pass by me, not giving me enough time to show them what the brights really look like.
