When I worked, in Florida, for FPL [Florida Power and Light], doing contract mapping work, I put 7,000 miles in 28 days, on a rental Chevy Malibu, which I have to say, except for the brakes, handled it wonderfully. The rental car agency was a little miffed when I brought it back though

If you have ever heard Abu, from the Simpsons? That's who called to yell at me about how they had to sell the car and
"We will never rent to you again!" It is really hard to take someone, with that accent, seriously.
Rental guy:
"We will burn down your 7-11 and suicide bomb your neighborhood!"
Me: "Hee hee, that accent is so cute!"
BTW, mapping the location of power poles, on a huge, badly folded, plotted map, with no street names, only transit lines and occasional transformer locations... sucks a$$. Many's a time I drove down a road that turned out not to go anywhere. Drive back. Drive around. Suspicious neighbors wondering what the hell this guy is doing outside their trailer, with binoculars and writing something down. It semed they were mostly worried that I would rat them out and they would lose their disability checks or something.
I would have felt terrible doing that to a Mustang!
