On the 70 Mach1s the 3rd and 4th digits of the vin will be 05.For example the vin tag would say 0F05R123456 with the first digit meaning the year model, the second digit is the assembly plant,the third and fourth are the body style, the fifth digit is the engine code and the last six digits are the sequential production number. The 69 model cars did not have a body style designation in the vin that meant Mach1.It was the same as any other sportsroof (fastback) which was 02.The door tag body style will be 63C instead of 63 or 63B which is a sportsroof with standard or deluxe interior respectively.You can however, get a Marti report on the car which will tell you everything about it.They have Fords production records.Hope that helps, and again, welcome.
