I just put longtubes and o/r h-pipe on my 06 gt that had pypes violators out back. WTF It is really loud and high pitched on acceleration. Almost like a ricer. Should I just put the stock mufflers back on? I been looking around a little bit But havent seen any one with exact same setup....maybe Im wrong and just didnt look hard enough. I also have S&B CAI and 62mm TB+spacer-5 Speed. 4.10s
Also to top it off I got a heavy vibration/rattle now that I have to find.
My midpipe didnt have and hangers? Is that normal + no spot for the hangers to go under the car?

Anyway I had to vent a bit.

i am pretty sure that it should have hangers.

also, a lot of guys are running stock mufflers with the rest of the exhaust fully custom and love it.
Long tube headers can ruin a perfectly good exhaust sound. I loved my SLP Loudmouths until I installed headers.
Hopefully, you also have a tuner. The stock mufflers should take the edge off some.
the hangers on the mid pipes are not necessary...........When one comes in for a rattle at work, and those hangers are the problem, Ford has a TSB to completely remove them. They are not needed, and Ford will tell you the only reason they are there is to aid in assembly when the car is being made.
I have an 08 and mine didn't come with hangers in the middle either. Only has 2 hangers each side in the back for the mufflers.
Try the GTAs. I have ARH L/T catted H with the GTAs and get a lot of comments on how they sound like the older stangs. They do sound better with age. :applause:

Do your LTs have cats? If not, there's your noise problem. I haven't heard the pypes muffs in person, but from the sound files they're a little higher pitched then some of the others. If you don't have cats that could be making those muffs sound really loud and raspy.

Just try some different axlebacks like the flowmasters since they are the cheapest but i know for a fact the borlas sound good but are very expensive
i had an o/r xpipe with flowmaster and stock exhaust manifolds and i thought it souded to loud and ricey during acceleration. so i put my stock xpipe back on the car and it sounded way better(not ricey at all)
Exhaust

That stinks! Well, if you go back to stock mufflers and need some, let me know, I'll trade you! :D
The Violators are a tad "pitchy" at higher RPM's. An O/R pipe is probably only going to make it worse. Some hi-flow cats will help. Your midpipe may not have come with hangers, but there are isolators on the transmission crossmember for hangers.

Here's mine if you want a comparison.

I thought the same thing, I took them off, put the factory muffs back on, liked the sound but not loud enough, all in all I put the violators back on and they grew on me. run them for a little and see what you think after a few weeks. I have some people tell me its too loud and others love it.

I also am putting the stock mufflers back on after I am finding the MMR mufflers to be way too loud. They sound great when just cruising or idling. But hit the gas and they are very loud. I leave for work at 5:30AM so I know the neighbors hate them, too.
I would also like to point out that you may actually LOSE hp/tq with that TB spacer... A few guys on here have posted about a noticable drop in both, and have the dyno sheets to prove it. Just my .02 though ;-) I know that has nothing to do with your original post about your exhaust tone, but I felt that somebody had to break the bad news to ya. I'm also in the same boat as you; I have SLP LM's and love them, but am looking to install LT's in the near future and will obviously be needing a different set of mufflers
