Hello Mustang Community!

Just got my 2009 GT back from the shop with newly installed Hot Rod cams and a fresh BAMA tune.

Ever since my Stang has driven terribly and is a chore to drive. The idle is around 800-900 from a start, but when slowing down to a stop, the RPM bounce from 200-1000 like crazy and it almost stalls. Getting going from a stop is terribly difficult, it is now impossible to just let out the clutch to get the vehicle moving. I have to give it considerable gas to get going (which is going to burn up my brand new Exedy Mach 500 clutch). It would be almost impossible to drive in traffic or even back up. Driving slow in first gear is impossible without it bucking like crazy.

Kris from BAMA has been fantastic and is working hard to figure the issue out. I just data logged and sent it to BAMA, however I was wondering if anyone has any advice for what could be going on or how to fix it.

FYI: I have many engine and drivetrain mods (see signature), however I am concerned that my EXEDY LIGHTWEIGHT RACING FLYWHEEL could be worsening the issues. Is this possible?

Thank you all for your advice. If anyone knows someone who would know more or have experience on this topic, please send them this way!

With that list of mods, I think your at the point of lookin into a dyno tune to bring all that together rather than a mail order tune. You could be goin back and forth for a while and still not be completely happy with any email tuner.
But you did send them a data log so I would give them a chance and see what they come up with Monday. Who knows, they might nail it for ya.

Hey Yale,

Sorry to hear about the trouble getting this dialed in - Bama has tuned a slew of cammed 3V setups and I'm confident that they'll be able to dial this in very shortly for you! I'd love to get a look at your logs and review them Kris and the Bama Team. Can you shoot me a PM with your Ticket or Order Number so I can track this down and have it fast tracked for you?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to getting you on the road in no time!

Alex
