ive just noticed that alot of people dont give the 79 through 85 fox bodies any credit why is that? i am a proud owner of a 1983 5.0 gt that i love and i personally like the design of them better than the newer ones so anyone wanna share with me why they dont get as much credit? thanks guys!

I think they are nice.

Edit: Honestly during the late 70's and early 80's there was the whole oil crisis and cars were a little ugly and down on power. They didn't start getting any life till the mid 80's so maybe that is why.

4-eyed foxes, FTW!!!

I love them, especially 85-86s, and especially '86s. I found this while wasting time on craigslist the other day:

1986 Mustang GT 5Speed

I normally prefer coupes, but gosh, that's a sharp car. Now if only that money tree would bloom...

I will be grafting an 85/86 nose on my 89, cause that's the way it will look it's best. I really don't like the swoopy 80's looking nose that came on it. But, the machinery is far superior.

I've been driving my 85 daily for the last 12.5yrs and counting. It's a little squeaky and rough, but I can fix it if it breaks. Meat and potatoes, no frills.
