You heard right. You can have an electrical charge in your cooling system if you have an aluminum radiator. I know, I have an aluminum 3 row but mine is grounded by the radiator bracket.

If you're using the standard brackets with the rubber isolators along with the rubber bottom mounts, change the upper brackets to some that make direct contact with the radiator. The rubber is keeping it from being grounded so making that contact with help with it.

You can get some brackets at UPR that look so much better than the stock uppers.

This is the one I have, they have others in stainless and even black stainless.

Here's how mine looks. Lots better than the stockers.

I sure wish you would give me some demisions on that before i MAKE MY OWN. LOL

IDK if that wil work with my radiator. But I hate polishing so I realy would prefer to buy one than make it.

NVERMIND I CAN TOTALLY TELL THAT WONT WORK FROM THE PICS.

Lemme go measure. :nogrinner All it is is a sheet of stainless cut to size and then you just need a brake to make the clean bends.

LOL Sorry Eagle I can tell from the side view it wont work I need a taller lip on the shroud side. However the measurement will assist in the making of what I need. Good thing I own a brake for construction. It may be tough to make the last fold. Thanks!:)

Ok.

The wide part that has the bolt holes:
27 inches wide, 1 inch from the edge for the holes.
1 3/4 inch from the front edge to the 90 degree bend.

Cut down to 24 inches wide to fit over the radiator (1 1/2 inch on each side).

A 90 degree bend, 1 inch tall to get to the top of the radiator and support.

3 inches to go across the top of the radiator.

Then another 90 degree bend, 5/8 inch down behind the radiator.

For a nominal price it can be powdercoated or polished....

Just thought I'd throw that out there.......:)

LOL Figured you would chime in.:) However, I have a dist local that sells "off fall" sheet metal. So the polishin would only need to be where I scratch it on the bends. But for the others that may be good to know! Dont worry Im sure you will get the new strut tower brace to powder coat, as soon as I figure out how to keep it from rusting at the welds.

The rust prevention is all part of the powdercoating prep.....:)

There is a secret item that is used before the powder goes on....

I would tell you what it is but then i'd have to kill you........

I believe you can also purchase a sacrificial Anode for the rad too.

that would work also just like you would with a boat.....:bigthumbsup
