I am trying to find out a ford racing fuel pump eccentric stays in place. the stock piece would have a tab to hold it form spinning on the cam gear. I don't have a stock one so i bought a ford racing piece and it does not have a tab. this is on a 85 with the 5.0
Any help would be great. thanks

Yes i know it bolts the cam but it also need a way not to spin on the cam bolt. that is the problem. the stock one would have a tab that went into a hole to keep it from spinning. but the ford racing one does not.

If sounds like your missing the dowel pin.
The stock dowel pin is 5/16 x 1.0

it has the dowel pin. it is for the cam to cam gear but not long enough for the eccentric to go over. i would but a new longer one in but they are pressed into the cam. i could get it out but i didn't know if that is what i have to do or not.
