I was wondering how hard it was to change the front spindles on my 1968 mustang. Im looking to convert them from drum to disc brakes.

It is not a bad job....put on jackstands at frame, remove tires, brake line, tie rod, upper and lower ball joints and it is off.I just done ball joints on a 68,it took me about 45 minutes per side.
The ball joint for the UCA is the biggest pain since it's got the pressure of the spring on it. I would rent a press kit from Advanced, etc. it has multiple size removal tools in it, you leave a deposit and get it back when you return so it's free.
i dont know what specific brakes im putting in. All i kno is that i want some disc brakes. I also saw some spindles from a 94 or 95 mustang for sale. could i put those on my 68 coupe?
No they won't work on it.64-73 mustang and ford granada will fit it.79 and newer mustangs use a spindle on strut there is no upper a arm which old cars like your mustang has.Your best bets are chockostang on ebay index.html or Performance Disc Brakes from Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation (SSBC)
what specific years will the granada spindles fit on my mustang? Will 79 granada spindles fit?
I saw the coolest, A guy bought a complete Corvette Disk brake system off a C5 vette on Ebay, and I dont know how, but put that system on his 66 fastback resto-mod. It looks awesome the pics of big red calipers that say CORVETTE on them poking through some deep chrome wheels.

I have a set off a 77 granada, 2 hours to install but thee weeks to get all the lines worked out (could not find the correct inverted flair fittings, double flaring issues and bending issues. got it done though

If you do use the Granada swap use new rubber line wheel bearing cotter pin pads maybe rotors too.You will need a new master cylinder too.
