Never. I used to go out looking to see how I would fare. I never get challenged so I quit cruising trying to find a race. Gotta save gas now anyway

I'm from Baltimore. What are Baltimore Street Mods? Thanks,Fryguy_pa said:Occasionally people antagonize me with my car. Usually just revving the engine calms them down (got the FRPP exhaust)
They you get the ones who tailgate you on the highway.... downshift, and POOF! where dey go?
I'd like to start by saying that I get challenged quite abit but I don't waste my time and gas with the little guys. I save my energy for the big dogs. You all know who I am refering to. As a matter of fact, I had one of those new Nissan Maximas tear off the line with me today. I had my son in the car so I let him enjoy the moment. Anyway, Msgt, I am here in the SD area working out of North Island. I am not familiar with Race Legal. Can you give me some specifics like price, dates, times, location, etc? Thanks.MSgt46270 said:I get it alot. Some people just want to see what it can do, and they know they don't have a chance. But when someone does has a fixed up car, then I try not to race them just to make them mad. I had one guy give me the finger as he took the off ramp. LOL
Once I get my Saleen S/C :tongue , then I'll show them what I have :sterb: . I'm not into street racing either, just a short thing just to let them know what I have.
When I do get my S/C, they can meet me at the race track here in San Diego at "Race Legal". :happyhapp
Nothing hotter than a girl with a GT and and a stick!!!:drool:mallorysmom said:Oh, I've got to respond to this one, since I had an incident tonight. There's the last stoplight on a 2-lane highway that has a through left lane, and the right lane eventually has to merge. I was the second car in the right lane, saw an opening to get in the left and did it, signaled and everything. The Honda 4-door Accord in front of me saw what I was doing and tried to beat me. Please, give me a break. I got where I needed, then he flipped on the headlights at me, as if to tell me what, my V8 beat his 4? About the only challenges I get are those unworthy - a Celica, an Acura something or other, and that's about it. Maybe because I'm a girl, I dunno. I've raced one fellow GT-owner and it was all friendly. We waved and smiled. It was all good.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you there. At least for me, I could be driving along do 70 or 80mph and if I just pass someone they take it as a race. Just like tonight (1 Sept 05) some guy in a Honda (I think) would just stay a little ahead of me. I knew he wanted to race, but I didn't give him the satisfaction of it. I could have gun it and kept him from getting in front of me when traffic in has lane was going slow. But at the same time I have my 17yr with me and I don't want him to pick up my bad driving habits.kj_cinci said:I think it depends on how you drive... if you're hotshotting, high revs, having fun, someone will ctach on and make it a race... if you're coasting in the right most lanes, nothing...
Looks like the next race legal is the Sept 9th. Are you planning to go? I just might go my self, maybe we can meet up with each other. My friend Dow will more likely be there, last time he won two trophys. If you plan to go I'll PM my cell # to you.ckp73 said:Thanks alot. I had a feeling it was Qualcomm but I wasn't sure.
Ya gotta love those tards that drive xBs... with the exception of the Honda Element those shoebox xBs are the UGLIEST G**D*** car on the road today. Those POS's look exactly like an oversized toaster.2k5GTC said:Believe it or not I got challenged today at a red light by, get this, a Scion Xb! Totally riced out including the stupidest looking coffee can tail pipe I have ever seen. When the light turned green he punched it (if that's even possible in a Scion). I wasn't going to play his game and just accelerated at normal velocity. Bet he told all his ricer buds he beat an 05 GT. :wavey
MSgt, see, you were hotshotting, you should just stay way behind and/or to the right... :winksMS[color=black said:gt[/color]46270]Sorry, I have to disagree with you there.
